About Us

Oromia Steel Pipe Mill Plc (OSPM) is situated in the Oromia Regional Government, Finfinnee Special Zone, approximately 15 kilometers from the center of Finfinnee (Addis Ababa). Our ultra-modern facility spans over 29,000 m² with a storage area of 71,000 m².

SPM is the only factory in Ethiopia producing longitudinal and spiral steel pipes, as well as screen casings in diameters ranging from 88.9mm (3 inches) to 630mm (24 inches), with lengths of 4 to 12 meters and wall thicknesses of 2.5mm to 10.0mm.

Investment and Operations

The total investment capital is estimated to exceed Birr 410 million, with about Birr 150 million allocated for factory premises and Birr 260 million for state-of-the-art machinery and equipment. The fully invested total, excluding factory facilities, amounts to Birr 260 million, contributed by joint venture partners, including Oromia Water Works Construction Enterprise (Br. 140 million), Oromia Forest & Wildlife Enterprise (Br. 60 million), and foreign investor Golden Trade Company LTD (Br. 60 million)
