Oromia Steel Pipe Mill Plc (OSPM)
Located in the Oromia Regional Government, 15 kilometers from Finfinnee (Addis Ababa), OSPM is an ultra-modern facility covering over 29,000 m², with a storage area of 71,000 m². The total investment exceeds Birr 410 million, with Birr 150 million for factory premises and Birr 260 million for advanced machinery.
OSPM is Ethiopia's only manufacturer of longitudinal and spiral steel pipes, producing screen casings in diameters from 88.9mm (3 inches) to 630mm (24 inches), with lengths from 4 to 12 meters and wall thicknesses from 2.5mm to 10.0mm.
Investment and Operations
The total investment capital is estimated to exceed Birr 410 million, with about Birr 150 million allocated for factory premises and Birr 260 million for state-of-the-art machinery and equipment. The fully invested total, excluding factory facilities, amounts to Birr 260 million, contributed by joint venture partners, including Oromia Water Works Construction Enterprise (Br. 140 million), Oromia Forest & Wildlife Enterprise (Br. 60 million), and foreign investor Golden Trade Company LTD (Br. 60 million).
